A New Blog Begins

Welcome to what we hope becomes a vibrant blog for capturing our experience planting a missional church. Easter 2007 marked 6 years of doing the grass roots work of building a local expression of Jesus’ church here in Malden/Boston that we hope to be marked by a Biblically faithful theology and an engaging love and concern for the culture that we have been sent to. Over that time we have received grace upon grace from our God of all grace. The stories are too many too tell.

With this new blog our intention is to have the many folks who are now leading our community in various ways have a central place to post their stories, reflections, frustrations, insights et al as they serve God and our city. So of think of this blog as an interactive journal where leaders will intiate threads designed to communicate what’s happening and anyone is free to join the discussion.

Church planting is not easy. Taking up the task of church planting in a culture like ours has been called masochistic, suicidal, impossible and some other less kind words. Whatever. God’s strength is known in weakness, and so we are prepared to see God strong.
