Dad, did gladiators have guns?
Typical conversation in leading your children to faith:
Setting: Listening to Seven Mile Road CD in car, John sings, “I won’t bury my past. It’s a testimony to the grace and the love that you give.”
6 year old Brandon: “Dad, what does testimony mean?”
Dad: “A testimony is when you tell someone the truth about something that happened to you. In court before a jury you tell the truth about what you saw happen. When it comes to Jesus and His Gospel, our testimony is our telling people about the experience we had in receiving God’s grace through repentance and faith in Jesus.”
6 year old Brandon: “Dad, did gladiators have guns?”

Awesome. What a character. I love it haha–John
That’s hilarious. Can’t wait to see you guys this weekend.
Funny how different kids are. 8 year old MJ would have said: “Receiving grace through repentance? You mean like when I beat up Brandon and then say sorry later so you don’t beat me up?”
